Barrier Ruthless Rye IPA

At Rattle N Hum Bar in New York City, I ordered a glass of Barrier Ruthless Rye IPA. The beer pours a golden orange color with a foamy white head. The aroma consists of lemon, pepper, rye, and meringue. The taste is smooth and slightly sweet with meringue and lemon on the front end and pine, pepper, rye, and bitterness on the finish. The alcohol content is 6.4% ABV. This was one of the better rye beers that I have ever had, and the sweetness was completely offset by the wonderful bitterness. I would like to see Barrier expand their distribution to Pennsylvania, and maybe even start bottling so that I can try more of their beers.
