Jailhouse Brewing Breakout Stout

In a trade with Lance Martin (Beers of the Night) and Alfred Hugh Leonard III, I received a bottle of Jailhouse Brewing Breakout Stout. The beer pours a black color with a finger-sized frothy tan head. The aroma consists of mocha, toasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, and a smoothing vanilla accent. The taste is dry and chocolaty with lots of coffee and mocha on the front end. There is some tobacco that mixes up the flavor, but the focus is on the tasted malts. Vanilla sweetens up the finish, which is quite enjoyable. The alcohol content is 7.8% ABV. While I typically am not a fan of tobacco flavoring in a beer, it complimented all of the other flavors well in the Breakout Stout and I really enjoyed drinking this one.
