Boulevard Brewing Double-Wide IPA

My buddy Matt brought over a bottle of Boulevard Brewing Double-Wide IPA. The beer pours an amber color with a frothy cream colored head. The aroma consists of caramel, lemon, grass, pepper, and toffee. The taste is dry and bitter with caramel and toffee as a base. There are some lemon, pepper, and spruce hop flavors that take over the mouth and dries it out. The alcohol content is 8.5% ABV. This was a nicely bitter beer with a strong caramel and toffee base that was also bittered enough to balance the flavors.
